It is probably not for you if you are looking for a passive weekend, a networking group, a quick fix, or someone else to change your life for you.

Ahdama is unmistakably Jewish, but it is not a test of observance, background, knowledge, or affiliation. You do not need to present yourself as anything other than who you are. Jewish men from every walk of life have attended Ahdama.

We cannot promise that, and we would be wary of anyone who does. Four days can open something, but what changes a life is what a man chooses to do with what he sees and whether he keeps showing up afterward. Ahdama provides the experience, the brotherhood, and the continuing structure. The responsibility remains yours.

Ahdama can complement the work a man is already doing, but it does not replace professional mental health care when that is needed. Many men have attended Ahdama at the recommendation of their therapist. The experience can also complement 12 step recovery work and other healing modalities.

Men as young as 20 and as old as 70 have attended Ahdama. The typical attendee is between 30 and 50, but readiness and fit matter more than age.

Ahdama for Couples is for a Jewish man who wants to bring this work into the relationship that asks the most of him, together with the partner he shares it with. It is not only for couples in crisis. It is for couples willing to be honest, take responsibility for what they bring, and make room for a deeper kind of connection.

Four days and three nights without phones, combining Hedy Schleifer's relationship work with facilitated group work, psychodrama, breathwork, movement, meditation, shared meals, and quiet reflection. Some work happens together as a couple, some in the larger room, and separate groups may be used when they serve the work. Prayer is available for those who choose. It is not required.

No. Some men arrive because something in their life or relationship is clearly not working. Others have built lives they are proud of and can still feel that something important has been left behind. Ahdama is not built around crisis. It is for men willing to look honestly at how they are living and stop doing that alone.

Yes. A man can begin Ahdama through the Couples Experience. It becomes the immersive experience included in his one year membership, and he is welcomed into the same continuing brotherhood.

Ahdama is a one year membership in a brotherhood. The immersive experience opens the door, and the gatherings, calls, relationships, and opportunities that follow create the continuing rhythm of the membership.

The first immersive experience opens the door. The brotherhood continues through gatherings every two weeks, monthly calls, ongoing relationships, and opportunities to go deeper. Many men choose to return for another immersive experience. Of the men who attended Ahdama in 2026, 25 percent had attended before. We see that as a quiet sign that what begins here continues to matter.

Membership includes one immersive four day experience, in-person meetups every two weeks in South Florida and New York, monthly Zoom calls, and an ongoing online brotherhood and community.

Membership options are also available for men who want to attend more than one immersive experience during the year.

Attending an immersive experience means joining Ahdama as a member for one year, and the cost of that experience is included in the membership. We ask every man to remain present for the full immersive experience. Afterward, no one is required to maintain an ongoing connection. Every member is welcome to choose how actively he participates in the continuing brotherhood and community.

Membership starts at $2,250 for the year and varies according to the experiences and level of participation included. After you apply, you will be able to learn more about the membership options and choose what is right for you.

Yes. You can explore all available Ahdama experiences before applying. Registration opens after your application has been reviewed and you have been approved to join.

Cancellation terms may vary by experience, and any specific terms will be shared when you register. When no other terms are listed, the following policy applies.

If you cancel more than 30 days before the experience, you will receive a full refund minus payment processing fees and a $25 administrative fee.

If you cancel 14 to 30 days before the experience, you will receive a credit toward a future Ahdama experience.

If you cancel within 14 days of the experience, payment is nonrefundable.

If a genuine emergency comes up, reach out. We will consider what is possible based on the circumstances.

Yes. Ahdama is a sober environment.

Yes. Confidentiality is a core agreement of Ahdama, and every man who attends is required to honor it. Any photographs or videos shared publicly are used only with the consent of the men shown. During the application process, we will ask whether you are comfortable appearing in shared photos or videos.

All food served at Ahdama is kosher and prepared under the supervision of Mendy Baruch. If you have specific questions about our kashrus standards or supervision, we are happy to answer them. A number of rabbis have attended Ahdama retreats.

Ahdama retreats are conducted in observance of Shabbat. There is no music, writing, or programming that conflicts with Shabbat. Men of every level of observance are welcome, and we respect those who do not personally keep Shabbat. We simply ask everyone to honor the shared environment and refrain from doing anything publicly that would compromise the sanctity of Shabbat.
